From the get-go, we opted for ginseng as the base ingredient for our eye cream. Ginseng boasts rich saponin content and has been extensively researched for its effective wrinkle-improving properties, earning it a well-deserved reputation in herbal remedies. When it came to choosing an ingredient to blend with ginseng, Vitamin A was the clear winner. In the realm of cosmetic ingredients, there are two types of Vitamin A: retinol and retinal. Our primary challenge was to stabilize and reduce skin irritation. By incorporating stabilized retinal in liposomal form at 2% (active content 0.02%), we've made it easy for everyone to get acquainted with retinal.

Key Ingredients:

• 10% Ginseng Extract: Korean traditional medical text, 'Dongui Bogam,' records ginseng as a plant bestowed by the gods, indicating its significant role as a vital herbal ingredient. It's said that Hwang Jini, renowned as the most beautiful woman of the Joseon Dynasty, used ginseng-infused bathing water. The abundant saponins in ginseng promote moisture supply, aiding in long-lasting deep skin hydration and maintaining healthy skin.

• 2% Retinal Liposome: Retinal is a form of Vitamin A, a component that has been used for a long time in skincare history to improve skin wrinkles. When Vitamin A is ingested as food, it goes through the metabolic process in the order of retinol -> retinal -> retinoic acid.

Rather than needing to go through retinol, which is a precursor to retinal, retinal directly converts to retinoic acid, working on the skin more rapidly and effectively. We've finely fragmented retinal particles and encapsulated them in liposomes, stabilizing them with natural lipids, oils, and other ingredients. Additionally, we've blended ingredients like glycerin, niacinamide, and cholesterol to create an even more effective product.
